ABOUT ME | THE BIG PICTURE

If you allow me the comparison, shooting a picture is like hitting a tennis ball. You need to visualize what you will do to the ball before you hit. This is the same thing with photography. It is not about framing, it is about creating mentally an image of what you see and what you want to convey. The image should be in your mind before you actually click. The great photographer Ansel Adams showed it in a very profound way.

This is the realization I came across when I started photography, not so long ago. I started taking pictures as a complement to my journalistic work. Shooting a portrait was another way to talk about a person. Sometimes the images were more eloquent than the words. I started to get more involved with photography and soon trained my eyes to "see" in this new visual language.

I am based in Atlanta, but truly do not allow this city to be my boundary. I was born and raised in France and always kept a part of that country within me. I spent a good part of my life in Tucson, Arizona. From that time remains a love for open space and pure blue sky.
